Artist-Photographers Retreat:
There is nothing like taking in the beautiful scenery and wildlife of Northeastern Ontario has to offer in the Larder Lake area. There is an abundance of wildlife around thru out the year.

Fishing:
The many islands, weed beds and shoals make this a great place to fish for pickerel (walleye), northern pike, small mouth bass, and lake trout. Enjoy ice fishing from February 15 thru March 15th. For those who want to get caught up in some major fishing, there are two annual tournaments. One in the spring is usually the first Saturday and Sunday in June. The other is in the winter for the ice fishing which is held on the Saturday prior to March 15th.

Hunting:
There is an abundance of grouse, small upland game, deer, moose and bear.

Nature/Bird Watchers:
Our boreal forests are home to moose, deer, bear, lynx, beaver, martin, mink, grouse, snowshoe hare, to name a few and bird-watchers will delight throughout the seasons to see such species as sand hill cranes, blue herons, ospreys, bald eagles and loons.

Skiing:
In the winter enjoy X-country skiing on our nature trails; explore our breathtaking shores on snowshoes. There is a ski-hill in Larder Lake. http://www.larderlakeskihill.com

Snowmobiling:
In the winter enjoy the groomed trails for great snowmobiling. Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs - District 14 (A110Q)
